Isn't this just an upgrade of the SET's facilities?

I don't think there is a suggestion from that minute that this is the new plan. The site at Woughton is heavily used by the SET and is long due an upgrade in some areas.

I thought that at first but there’s only one building on the site currently isn’t there? That thing that sort of looks like a cross between a pagoda and a cricket pavilion.

Yep, but obviously the dome and the outdoor pitches fall into that description in the minutes. I think it's been poorly worded and the title should include SET.

It's been year's since that astro's been sorted there and I think the age groups train on that every night, including the kids just signing up to a football course.

Any other business should have included an update on the Bowl. In fact, the SB should be asking that to be a standing agenda item.

They wont ask as they dont want to upset anyone.

The fact of the matter is - the money invested into WOG should be on the Bowl.

Then I absolutely agree with everyone else, starting to think what's the point of the board...

Sorry if this is old news / common knowledge - but I was always under the impression that Winkie spent part of the Dele money on prospective pockets of land in and around MK. Have these now been sold on (presumably for a profit)? I thought one was now the huge new build estate on the left as you drive in on the A421 - Eagle Farm or something?

The only land, aside from the Bowl, that I'd heard was definitely purchased was the land on the banks of the Ouse, between Old Stratford and Cosgrove (aka that soaking wet bit of floodplain).

Did the club not end up buying the land at Tickford?

Yeah, we did. And then sold very quickly for a £6M profit. It was well documented on here by a certain party

I saw a link to Facebook page about a local scaff co putting up the steelworks for a building at the bowl a couple of days ago. Presumably the “commercial use” that was in the amended planning application. It looked like a warehouse/logistics centre (but could equally have been a new dome to replace Woughton, but I’d doubt it!)

Ah, ok. I didnt recall that. I guess they used some sort of vehicle for that investment and the club itself had no part of the transaction.

Yes, was the holding co. Props up the FC though so effectively the same thing.

As far as I’m aware, yes. There’s never been any significant sale in the accounts that would (in all probability be a similar number to the Tickford Farm sale) indicate that we’ve sold it. It was purchased for £2.5M getting on for ten years ago now, I’d think.

Feels appropriate to put it here;

Training Ground and Pitch Update
JB requested an update on the Training Ground progress and the proposed
end of season Pitch upgrade (SB Minutes 7/2/23 4E)
PW stated that the club plan to implement the Planning permission at the
Bowl after the concerts in August. Two concerts have currently been
confirmed with a possibility of a couple more. The First Team should be able
to train on the pitches when they are fully grown which is expected to be
around April 2025. There will not be any concerts held at the Bowl in 2025.
