But while I am speaking to you, yesterday you questioned my approach to evidence to prove a theory, right ? And you said "that is not how science works." Well just to say, you can approach science in 2 ways - the inductive approach or deductive approach.
One approach starts with a stated hypothesis (eg "the world is flat") and then you collate evidence to prove or disprove that assertion.
The other approach starts with observed facts/evidence, and then you formulate a theory/hypothesis based on the evidence.
Both approaches, dear Keyser, are valid and reasonable approaches in scientific investigation.
