Will the next 8 games define our season
Imho, they'll be as important as any other game this season - the same number of points are at stake in game 1, game 23, or game 46.

24 Points on offer and we ideally need at least 20 to have any chance of Play offs so I think we can wave good bye to that Robbie.
To have a chance of the final playoff spot, we'd usually need about 73 points by the end of the season.
That's 48 more than we have now, at about 1.9 points per remaining game, but if we suddenly find that promotion-like form for the rest of the season, only 15 points would be needed from the next 8 games in order to get us on track for the final playoff spot...

would do it, with 15 points from those games.

Anything less than 12 and we are in a relegation battle especially as 3 of those games are against teams below us.
11 points from our next 8 games would be comfortable mid-table form, while those really in the relegation battle will only average 9 points or fewer from their next 8 games...

Given that we're 5 points above the relegation battle atm, to be dragged towards it we'd need to get 6 points or fewer while those really in it get 9 points or more over the next 8 games, imho.

I know everyone says its one game at a time but
Personally I think we will be dragged into a relegation battle unless we do good business in January, could be squeaky bum time.
Personally, I think you're worrying prematurely together with some questionable assumptions about relegation battles as things stand, imho.
