The BBC write-up....

Northampton slipped into the League One relegation zone despite ending a run of two straight defeats by holding MK Dons to a 0-0 draw.

In what was a pretty lifeless local derby between two sides separated by less than 20 miles, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men dominated much of the second half and will count themselves unlucky not to have come away with maximum points.

Neither team managed to take a hold of the game during the opening exchanges inside a pretty flat Stadium MK but it was the hosts who were the first to threaten when Gboly Ariyibi fired just wide.

But the visitors responded well and had their best chance of the half moments before the break as Matt Crooks' effort on goal flew into the side netting.

The Cobblers should have left Milton Keynes with all three points though, as Dean Bowditch and Alex Revell both forced Dons keeper Lee Nicholls into smart saves late on - but a goalless draw leaves Hasselbaink's side winless in four.

It got us a point in a game in which we were outplayed. Pretty good tactics, I'd say.

Outplayed, are you serious, cobblers were poor, we were too slow in the build up of our attack, but outplayed, definitely not!!

Agreed on that too....Northampton looked as poor as us tonight. Hence why I called it a "lifeless" derby

Baffled. I thought it was an entertaining game of football. Tense. Won't see many better 0-0's at this level.

That was my feeling too.
Given that we had the 3rd highest attendance in the League last night, the atmosphere was flat as a pancake. Maybe the fans were also mentally exhausted from the euphoria of Friday.

Imho, compared with the atmosphere at Stadium MK for:
The League 2 title & cup winning season under Ince part 1? So much flatter.
The League 1 play-off season(s) under RDM (& Robinson)? Much flatter.
The League 1 mid-table season under Ince part 2? A bit flatter.
The League 1 promotion season under Robinson? Much flatter.
The Champonship relegation season under Robinson? Not flatter.
The League 1 relegation-beckoning 1st half of last season under Robinson? Not flatter.
The League 1 mid-table recovery ending 2nd half of last season under Neilson? A bit flatter.

Tbh I think the atmosphere constantly changes, ebbs & flows with the performances on the pitch, the constantly changing mix of fans watching in the stands, and their changing perspectives on the game, life, the universe & everything - you get used to it after a few decades.

It's Pete's train set and you should all feel honoured to be granted the privilege of paying to watch him play with it.
