It’s a conundrum. Time after time we drift through the first half playing crap and have to play catch-up after the break. The team need to focus their minds from the start instead of waiting for the half-time bollocking.

Any ideas to help our manager?

My suggestion is to perform an inspiring club Haka in the centre circle. If it’s OK for the All Blacks to depict their warrior traditions by slitting enemy throats, etc, it must be OK for an English club to act out chucking a hand grenade, bayonetting survivors, then pissing on the corpses.

Don't know, don't really care at the moment.

Read on soccerstats.com that we:

- Have the worst record in terms of goals conceded in the first 15 minutes of games in the league.
- Have the joint 2nd worst record for being behind at half time in the league (only Plymouth are worse).

Maybe just give them the hairdryer treatment before kickoff and again at half time :)

Where does the expression 'hairdryer treatment' come from and how is it relevant ?

Simple explanation for me really.

Teams are pressing us early, not enough time on the ball and we don’t have enough players capable of handling that early, high press from teams, leading to hurried passes, being caught in possession in key areas and an inability to get key players who can hold the ball into the game.

Second half teams tire and we find space.

The manager screaming in your face; you get their hot breath on you like a hairdryer - popularised by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Doncaster were an absolute shambles defensively for 45 minutes. Not many teams are that disorganised for 45 minutes and get away with only being the one goal down.

Everyone eat a pie at kick off, the players will think it’s the second half and play well.
