Ignoring the alleged WUMs/trolls now on the forum, and the derailing of threads by the original ‘old guard’ - did anybody on here actually go to the fan forum last night?
If so, feedback would be appreciated.
Miss Romeo for more than his WUMing nose.

This thread appears to be the Old Guard slapping each other on their backs and chortling. Do you care to enlighten us mere mortals?

There's a pretty obvious troll on here, sorry for having a sense of humour. But then again, I'm no mere mortal.

To be honest not a lot really, it went on for about two hours, no major revelations, nothing much happened on the training ground, although Pete had good news on one of the two potential sites, but we were not told which or what.
Gilbey is the Vice Captain, not Williams.
I raised a lengthy question regarding coach travel saying it was too expensive, a point most seemed to agree with. AC gave his opinion, and reeled off the benefits, none of which I felt warranted the hefty price.
I’d received qoutes averaging about £800 for the trip to Hyde, which was about £13 per person, whereas the actual price was £26 charged by the Club, which equates to about £1430.
The reasons given were, Motts coaches were luxury, had toilets, used stewards, the drivers are all CRB checked, and there is an insurance policy whereby you get refunded if the coach fails to get to the ground......all points used I supposed to gain value for money.
When we got quotes, the coaches were either of an equal specification or better, the coaches were all newer, included tea and coffee, and had toilets, all drivers were CRB checked, apparently a requirement driving PSV’s, but irrelevant anyway, as under 16’s cannot travel without a responsible adult.
The coaches we were quoted on all had public liability, the only thing we never checked on was this refund policy, I don’t know how many times a coach has failed to get to a game, but you would have to ask yourself is it really worth paying for ......personally I think most would say no.
Anyway the upshot is I felt the message was if you can do better do it yourself ........I asked the question for others, it doesn’t affect me, but would be interesting to get other views.
