Best of luck to him, its a good move for him. On his day he was unstoppable. For us, a lot rests of who we get in now.

Predicted a few weeks ago that Agard would stay and Chuks would go...

Disagree with the comment that in 5 years time we would have forgotten him. I believe the exact opposite...he will stand out as one of our best ever forwards, and many will have him in our Best Ever Dons team. He has given us many great memories, and goals

What a player he was. Like most I wish him the very best, Charlton already look like they could be a fun side next year.

On his day he was absolutely unplayable. Other times he could still provide a moment of magic most fans at this level could only dream of. His performance at home to Peterborough when we went down to 9 men was one of the best showings I've even seen from a player in a Dons shirt.

Good luck Chuks, it's a shame you signed for us during a fairly miserable spell at the club

I know what you mean, however I am grateful that we had him in L2 as he mucked in and helped get us promoted. If we can find a good, consistent replacement then I am sure he will turn into a memory quite quickly. Nothing but the best wishes for him.

Huge loss for the dons, touch of quality about him with a big presence up front who terrorises defenders. Will be a big miss for us when we need someone to be an impact upfront of fill in a CAM role, plus he's still young too.

defo need a proven goalscorer with a presence about him now.

Absolutely. If anyone (especially Tis) thinks a couple of mediocre additions is good enough between now and the start of the season, they're wrong. Aneke is a huge loss - not just the fact he scored 19 goals, it's all the other aspects of his game.

Read a stat the other day - he was joint 5th (along with Bradley Dack) in terms of creating chances in the top four English tiers, only behind Mo Salah and a handful of Championship players. Just shows how much he was involved last season.

We might not be able to get a player as good as him, but there are plenty of decent options available. Assuming we're going to play a similar system to last year with a front three, we've certainly taken a step back at the moment in terms of who fills those positions (aside from Agard obviously).

Of course we've taken a step back. Very unlikely we can afford someone as good as him. That's just the way it is.

As I said, we probably aren't going to get someone as good as him. But if Tisdale thinks a couple of D'Aths/Harleys/Bowerys between now and August will suffice, we're going to struggle with goals next season.

Clearly we're not going to get another Chuks, but we do need to be signing a player that will excite fans when announced, that will make a big contribution next season and makes fans feel as though at least the club made a good attempt to fill that gap.
