All northern or Scottish clubs. Assuming his family still live in and around Newham/London then our new contract offer must give us an edge considering how close MK is.

I suppose. I don’t see him going to Scotland but if they offered more money I think the fact it’s 4 hours or so on a train stop him from plying his trade up there, he played abroad after all.

You're right so I think the biggest threat is Portsmouth

For some reason I can't put my finger on, Hull would be the ones I'd fear......

If he has any sense he’d stay away from Hull unless the Allam’s bugger off quickly.

Really starting to look like we won't have Chuks next season which will be a huge loss. There seem to be so many clubs now linked with him. He'll easily be able to double his wages, can't see him staying.

Unlike most, I don't see it as a MASSIVE loss. I would of course love him to stay, but if rumours are true then he's been trying to find an escape route for a while now, so probably best he goes.

Let's not forget that whilst he is a very talented player and was a game changer many times, there were a number of games where he just did not turn up and was the reason he became a 'super sub' as opposed to starting.

Anyway, I hope he stays, but if he doesn't, we just need to make sure that we recruit a decent replacement who is proven at this level. Needs to be a marquee signing.

I know I’ve been selective with my editing ;) , sorry, but the second sentence explains why the first is wrong.

He’s our best player by a mile.

This.

Seems a weirdly unpopular character because he’s shy and doesn’t interact with fans. Some think that’s lazy. But he’s the hardest working player and easily most naturally gifted and best player in the squad. We are a weaker side without him.

This again. Perhaps the only player in the squad who is unreplaceable. No chance we could find another player with his technique, strength, eye for goal and work rate.
