I expect there will be a lot more out of contract players finalising their next club this week as the realisation they aren’t being paid (contracts expire 30th June) sharpens the mind especially if they gave offers on the table but were hoping for something better.

No real rumours about MKDons signings though, seems careless talk costs lives (or transfers in this case) is the new mantra - which makes for a boring close season for fans!

We are not signing Hylton. We can move on with that rumour. We made an enquiry into him at the start of the 2018 season but Luton told us that there's absolutely no chance of the two clubs ever having transfer dealings. So that was that. We asked about Glenn Rea's availability at the start of last season. That was et with short shrift.

The realist in me wants to say that he won’t come cheaply and we need to replace Chuks better than an injury prone 30 year old.

But Sam is my favourite ever Dons player, so I agree with this statement 1000%

But was this just Politico speech, Chuks had found Charlton by then and was negotiating his contract, so in effect he had stopped looking.

Everything he says is politico speak. He said in May, we may look to add 1 or 2 and everyone crapped themselves.
