Why do football fans expect anything other than ‘political’ responses from managers? They aren’t our mates, spilling the beans over a pint. They are senior employees of football clubs and therefore have to both toe a party line and manage fan expectations. It’s part of the job. Don’t expect total transparency and openness.

Anyone recognise the guy on the right? The arrow doesn't help. Youth player or trialist?

Youth player James Holmes has signed a new deal with us. Seems to have a decent goal scoring record with the youth team and has been involved in the Wales youth set up for a couple of years.

No chance that's a youth player with that facial hair unless he had a tough paper round in addition to a promising football career, he looks early to mid-20s at least. Likely a trialist I would say.

Yup, looks like they have removed it. So definitely a trialist or new signing that has yet to be announced. It was from the Tuesday training session album. I guess my post rumbled someone.

Maybe a few more trialists have been with the team but the media team have been extra careful not to include them in any images, they just slipped up slightly on this one.

I feel like I recognise him, but can't but a name to face.

Good shout, looks similar. Hope not though, we really do not need more centre backs.

Edit - He's also out of contract at Exeter... I think it probably is him. Odd if so.

Especially seeing as he was released due to not being able to stay fit!
