Is Lewie injured ? Not even on the bench last night....I would have thought this WAS a game RN would have played him in, against Hyde surely ? Especially as Williams had to play at LB

Nah, he's just slow and old.

If not injured, it sort of re-inforces the rumours over fall outs in the dressing room

You mean he didn't get there on time and took the wrong bus.

Whatever is happening behind the scenes, I for one think that it is a great shame the way his illustrious career is quietly fizzling out, after being such a loyal servant to the club. It would have been better had he retired or moved on in the summer, but to give him one more year yet not play him is poor management in my books.

I feel he must have had assurances in the summer. Quite a few were surprised when he signed a new two year deal. You felt it was time for him to move on

Yes there were other things in play - keeping an experienced player at the club when all others were leaving etc

BUT - he was very exposed speed wise in the first few games of the season, (many of us commentated on it at the time), so I suspect Robbie re-assessed his role. Probably what caused the supposed fallout.

I for one hope he goes out on loan for his own sake. Plenty of takers.

I think all of us would acknowledge his lack of pace etc but he still has something to offer, even if he does not play every match. And you would have thought last night's match would have been perfect for him.

Genuinely can't believe that anyone is questioning him. I can only think of two other players like him, Terry and Le Tissier. Terry may not be everyone's cuppa', personally I think he's poison, but like them Lewie has shown remarkable loyalty to one club, ours.

Think about all the shite he gets from KFC. I know that he's received offers higher up the league table. But he's stuck by us. Some on here could do better than do the same to him.

If he decides to come on at half time, dressed as a clown, calling us all wankers, I'd back him 100%
