Are we really a better team without him in the side?

I feel he is past his prime and Golbourne is a better player. Even as a replacement Walsh runs him close, but I think I would prefer Lewie as 2nd choice.

Golbourne is better than him in nearly every way. Lewington not being in the team isn't the problem.

Think my bet would have been looking pretty good by now d50.. think I said Lewie wouldn't play more than 15 games at LB.

Might not have the necessary ability anymore.

I’d still rather watch a team of Lewingtons giving their all for MK than this current dross any day.

I did raise this question on the long journey home, you cannot deny we haven't looked particularly convincing at any stage, even with the points accrued.
I'd also suggest a certain amount of lack of leadership on the field, whether that's too do with Lewie not starting, or the ever changing face of the skipper I don't know.
Perhaps Lewie brought more to the team than us the casual fan knew or know.

Was he at the game yesterday?

He usually travels if he’s not involved in the squad for whatever reason.

He has the necessary ability. The problem is that he has even less speed now. And not playing makes that worse.

Dead right in needing more leadership, both Lewie and Williams played in the reserve fixture at Brackley last week, being a quiet night you could hear everything being said on the pitch, GW was constantly shouting, organising and generally playing the role of captain, but wasn’t the captain as o was. Didn’t hear anything from him whatsoever, I do genuinely believe George Williams has to be playing in the first team regularly

Lewie, I just think the fire has gone out, he cuts a forlorn figure these days
