"Following the game, Wellens said: “It’s a weird stadium as there are hardly any fans here and it felt like a pre-season friendly."

Well, he's not wrong is he? :) Nearly every game at stadium mk feels like a pre-season friendly atmosphere.

Could say the same about Boundary Park...average attendance 4,514...capacity 13,512 so almost an identical ratio of fans to capacity.

More the fact that I've been there twice and both times the atmosphere was appalling.

Agree with Alby. I have been to Boundary Park a couple of times and it is a very dull empty place.

I think it probably wins the title for worst ground in the league now that Port Vale are in League 2.

But it is an optical illusion having 4K fans in a compact stadium looks more that having 9k in a massive oversized ground. Especially as spread out as we are!

The atmosphere in the away end was appalling following our third goal and it went 'even more appalling' after the fourth. Heh heh.

I believe Oldham's ground is the highest in altitude in the country, so maybe fans up there find it tough to sing and breathe ?

What is our excuse for a poor atmosphere though ? ;)
