Exit train at havant, a few decent pubs there, then hop on again about 2ish, think we're doing this.

Havant is dire. Fact.

Southsea or Old Pompey have the best pubs.

Havant is indeed dire (my parents live just up the road from there), but Warwick is correct, there are a couple of good pubs there and it then easy to pop back on the train to Pompey.
