An available and experienced manager who's not got much of a mention this time round is Russell Slade.
I don't particularly want him as in his ten jobs, he's only had a win % over 40 once - in his good spell at Orient.
However there was a lot of talk about him in January as he has a good reputation of working within a budget and knows the lower leagues well.
So it's a bit surprising that now we are going to be in league two, and he's available, no one seems to mention him.
But, like I said, although we could do worse he wouldn't be my choice.

He failed with Coventry, and their fans hate him.
He failed with Charlton, and their fans hate him.
He failed with Grimsby in League 2, and their fans hate him.

OTD made an interesting point about wanting a Cotterill/Slade duo, with Slade as AM and that's the only way I want him in our club.

Always thought Paul Tisdale at Exeter deserved a go at a club with more resources. Sharp dresser in the RDM mould too...

I don't think Pete will take any chances on our next manager it will be a safe appointment , somebody that has done well in the lower leagues for a while, any one of the top five in the betting, at the moment graham Alexander would be my choice , a deep thing type of guy that did a good job at fleetwood and Scunthorpe I do not think he would stand any slacking on the field and would get respect from the players.

I don't think their is a stand out - for me I don't need to like him or his style of play IF he or SHE gets us back to L1 at first go

I think Graham Alexander could be good. Done alright with Scunthorpe and played recently and knows the Leagues inside out. And players.
