Personally think Pete is naive himself at times - his last two appointments haven't been great amongst numerous other faults he's admitted to. There is no rule that managerial appointments must take a certain amount of time. Some clubs appoint managers very quickly and it works out for them. Some clubs (like us) take weeks and so far it hasn't worked out for us (Neilson). Let's hope Pete's choice to take so long and wait for Tisdale pays off.
"These things take time" does not mean it has to take as long as it has, as other clubs have shown this summer. It's naive to think it won't impact on our transfer activity. Tisdale himself said he hasn't met the players yet, so still plenty of work re assessing the squad before making transfer decisions. No doubt our delay has cost us potentially one or two quality free agents.
But, it's a new start. Let's see how he gets on this summer and judge the transfer activity at the end of the window. I like him, he seems a smart guy and certainly more experienced than Neilson and Micciche.
