Neilson
He still has work to do to get us into the playoffs, but he's making us harder to beat.
The foundation of a successful side is its defence, and the clean sheets are starting to come.
For the first time in ages we've got something a bit bigger, stronger & quicker than our previous assortments of lightweights & dwarves in defence.
However, if we are losing, I like the way Neilson reacts, makes changes and goes for it 100% to get something from the game before it's too late.
A breath of fresh air to not set up every game the same irrespective of who the opposition are, not be 100% predictable with everyone on our team sheet, not make default predictable like-for-like changes on 65 mins that change nothing, and not dither whenever decisive action is required.
I'd rather win with a header from a set piece for an ugly 1-0 and end up being promoted at Wembley, than having 65% possession but no end product and getting relegated (again).
Hard to beat is prettier than pointless possession & no points, for me.
Hypothetically if not Neilson fwiw, then a league champions & cup double-winning Ince Mk1, or RDM would be my next preferences from their time as MK Dons managers since 2004.
All of this.
