The Daily Mail write-up of the match referred to the "Where were you when you were us ?" chant, which the AFC fans love and the wider football public find hilarious. The Mail seemed to be wetting themselves over it.

But it is actually a poor chant, because it is plain wrong. Simply because AFC are not the original Wimbledon. So a much mis-guided chant if ever there was one.

We sung back "where were you when we were you" at one point which got a few laughs.

The only suitable punishment is expulsion from EFL and making them drop the Dons from their name

This efl directive now means that the footballing gods have decreed that one of us is going up or down this season and won’t meet again for a long time.

By which time, it’ll have all been forgotten and will be a mere footnote in the story. They’ll probably still do it next time and they’ll have another “reminder” served.

Their whole argument of “the scoreboard only fits 10 letters” isn’t going to wash when the FA suggest MK Dons - like most other clubs do.

Looking at the twitter feed from tonight’s u23 game there is no improvement in their ability to fit our name into 140 characters.

A totally bland and meaningless statement. I await some positive action by the EFL, but I'm not holding my breath.
