Are we just incompetent at getting plans approved, or is the local council too strict? If they won't budge, then surely we should know that by now? Negotiations don't take years.

It's a farce now. Seems like we're no closer to it than we were 3 years ago.

Surely if there is an issue, we either deal with it or it's a no go-er and we move on? If something costs additional funds then we either pay it or we don't and move on?

It's two different councils so perhaps It's not them. I wish we would look at the Bowl/Furzton again. I would have gone and suggested it, but I made the right decision to watch Liverpool v City.

I think the plan was to build a hotel etc and use the revenue to pay for the rest of the development. Unless I dreamt it from somewhere.

Whatever the reason, it's an absolute joke.

I'm sure the club are doing everything they can, but when they don't provide specific details as to why there are hold ups, it just makes everyone involved look incompetent.

I remember them talking about this nearly a decade ago. Kingston have had their plans created, approved and construction work begun during that time for an entire stadium - and that wasn't easy in itself with the politics of the Greyhound stadium.

Anyone who went, how good was the turnout?

I suppose there may well be 'anti-franchisers' among the councillors and planners, which would not help our cause much.

Such people do exist in MK, I've met plenty of them.

Me too. But I highly doubt that’ll be the case. I can’t see anyone even anti MK folk doing much to successfully scupper a deal that’ll possibly do a lot to the local community.

I don’t think Tickford or Cosgrove will ever happen, I know planning can be a painful process, but by now there should have been some progress.

Tickford has boundary issues which seem un resolvable, and Cosgrove just seems to be a dead duck.
Millions are tied up in these sites, maybe time to flog them off and search for somewhere more accommodating

If Crosgrove is a dead duck it ought to be buried. Seriously Crosgrove or Tickford could still be used to build a hotel with the training ground elsewhere.
