You don't have to be a billionaire to recruit a good manager. DM has never played and has no experience of over 16's - he's only slightly more qualified than a PE teacher. He's only been hired because he's cheap.

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys - that's why Pete's not the great guy people think.

You don't have to have been a top player to be a top coach.

For example: Laurie McMenemy at Southampton never a pro, but a bloody good manager.
The list of top players who failed as managers is endless, Tony Adams & Brian Robson etc.

We all know what we like and how we think the team should play, it's just different to DM's way.

Agree with that whoheartedly though.

The best comment ever in that respect was from AC Milan's legendary coach Arrigo Sacchi who often had the accusation that his lack of his lack of a playing career held him back; “I never realised that in order to become a jockey you have to have been a horse first.”
