I’m not saying we are going to be relegated, but at present it’s looking very likely.
But I just wondered what the implications are for the club if we got relegated.
I think it’s fair to say that those I’ve listed would be fairly certain, are there any more.

Lower Home attendances.
Lower Away fans attendance.
Players leaving, eg Chuks.
Home areas closed or reduced capacity in certain sections.
Difficulty in securing player or team sponsors.
Difficulty in securing match, ball, and programme sponsors.
Less people using matchday restaurant.
Reduced sales in Club shop.
Reduced sales of programmes, GoalDon goal tickets.
Increased difficulty in signing and loaning players in terms of quality.

We have been in L2 before you know WD. Average attendance was 9456, compared with our current average so far this season of 9336.

When we were last relegated from L1 to L2 at the NHS the attendance rose from 5620 to 6034.

So your first assumption has no basis in historical fact.

Shall we reconvene about Christmas ?

There’s no need for drama. The club will still exist, we’ll still enjoy our Saturdays

To be fair I think most people just want to see good performances at this point. I would certainly be more enthusiastic about challenging for promotion in league two than the situation we're in at the moment, I can't see attendances dropping significantly assuming we're playing good football and are at the right end of the table.

Yep, it looks like we’d possibly lose about 10% of our ST holders if polls here, twitter and Facebook are anything to go by. That’s not bad at all, and we’d just need half of them turn up and pay full price on a Saturday to have exactly the same revenue into the club.

I know it isn’t really how clubs want things to work (summer Season Ticket sales and projected direct debit revenues help set the playing budget), but if every one of us season ticket holders decided not to renew, but turned up to every match and paid on the day, then the club would have nearly double the revenue. Something to think about, eh? And goes to show that even losing a few ST holders isn’t the end of the world.
