No one was disputing that or 'disrespecting' them.

How can you say they have come off the best so far?

Look at our stadium. Look at our plans for the training ground. Look at our SET organisation and the charitable work.

They are ahead of us in the league at the moment - that's a very short term view.

I get all that dons50...and you could add to that list developing players like Dele, the successes we have had, the experiences (United etc etc)

But my point is solely on the fact that as things stand right now, we have certainly gone backwards when you consider in 2002 Wimbledon came to MK as a Championship team. And now we look very likely to be L2 again. My concern is if we languished in L2 for years, even go lower to the Conference ! Whereas, as much as we hate Kingston, any right-minded football fan would admit they have done extremely well to rise up the leagues and currently a better team than us, and give them respect for that.

They've done well to get where they are and are a few places above us in the league, nothing more.

Nope, kesyer. Reason for this thread ? Having to face the brunt of "what's going wrong at MK ?" from friends and work colleagues etc

If they don't understand the ebb and flow of footballing fortunes over the years, you can safely discount their opinions.

Our home support is far superior to theirs

Their away support is marginally better

Maybe we should have a whip round and get Mr G a scourge, then he can beat himself up to his heart's content.

I do wonder how many they will get at home when their new stadium is built. They will claim they will get big numbers because of how many they took to Wembley for the play-off final, but we took more for the JPT final (33k)

We might have been a championship team but we were losing every week, in admin and selling our best players, playing in a temporary hockey stadium and trying to build a world class 30K stadium just a couple of years before the 08 crash.

I'd say we're much better off now, despite playing in LG1.

AFC are everything we don't want to be and are FAR behind us in terms of infrastructure and potential.

Why did we want to compare ourselves to them?

I doubt they'll claim massive numbers at all. They have always had a small fanbase and the Wimbledon of old did also... unless they're out to shoot their 'cause' in the foot. But their away numbers for a non league and lower league club is not bad. Can't really compare with one off matches.
