I don’t agree with all of that, but was an interesting read.

I really don’t like the singing of not being fit to wear the shirt, it must be demoralising to hear that and should only be aimed at referees.

Yes, good post. I'm glad you wrote it as very similar sentiments have been posted on here and been overlooked or dismissed. They are important points so I'm glad they're finally getting the recognition they deserve.

The truth is we have many people both on this forum, and among our wider fan base, who are taking all this phlegmatically, recognising the need to often treat those 'two impostors' of triumph and disaster as all part of a football fans life. Camdenite put it well early in this thread by saying such fans are often the "silent majority". Probably time for all us who feel like that, to 'unsilence' ourselves a little. :)

Does treating the two impostors' of triumph and disaster as all part of a football fans life not mean you are just a member of a passive audience . Where does heart and soul feature in all that .
I agree , take the gloves off . Get involved

I work with him (well, he only works here two days a week) so if you want me to pass on a message...... ;)

Lol. Oh god no please don’t!

He’s a great guy I’m sure - we used to play his promos on the show all the time and he sounds like Gers!

Tell him that someone (me) does a brilliant impersonation of him, and that I'm available for parties and such like.

I'm guessing he won't know your TCR handle, so I'll just mention the Scots guy on the Moocamp show. :D

You are wise beyond your words. I will indeed aim to get more involved on this forum.

I prefer Tony Ingledow. He always manages to get in that every song he plays is a 'great number'.
