Simply not good enough.

Bored of saying it.

This.

This. I see a good goalkeeper in there somewhere but he isn’t cutting it this season. He’s been dislabolicap at times.

He IS a good keeper. Unless you have played that position you have no idea what it is like.
whatever. We lost. Move on.
The bloke's desire isn't in doubt IMHO.
OK...
.... F- off Ali...let's put in our (untried ) number 2 Siestma or whoever he is...that's gonna sole everything eh?
Bollox.

DON'T BLAME THE KEEPER.

I think he could be a good keeper but right now he isnt. Too many mistakes and too much indecision. Today, it looked to me like he went way too early for the first goal, had a real calamity moment with Ward which led to Ward giving him the sort of look when an experienced pro knows he should have done better followed by some words of encouragement to do better.

His kicking and distribution was also poor today. He spends the warm up significantly breaking the halfwayline and going strainght at the intended target and the match doing neither.

He’ll be fine as a league 2 keeper, his confidence is probably shot like most of the team, his few errors wouldn’t matter so much if we could actually score goals, that’s the major problem, not Nicholls

Is he good enough for League One or higher? Probably not based on this season. Maybe League Two is his level.

Having watched our goals conceded this season several times, he has proven to be far more error prone than any other first choice keeper we've had. Him and Wootton have been real liabilities this season.

I always thought it was a big call making him number one last summer. Part of me still thinks that the Robbie Neilson cull of senior players was more about reducing the wage bill enough to bring in his targets (Sow, Pawlett etc.) than it was about getting the right blend in the squad. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I’m sure we’d have benefitted from Martin (& Potter for that matter) still being with us this season.

I’d even say part of the Lewie fall out was partially because RN looked at him as a wage he could possibly get someone else to pay while he was loaned out.

I miss David Martin, he had his weakness (like any goalkeeper at this level) but he was a fantastic shot stopper. You'd never have seen Charlton's first goal go through his hands. Would have easily dealt with it.

I also always rated Potter too and said from day 1 it was stupid to let him go. One of our most underrated players to date. A player that unless you actually understand the game and play football, you won't understand the value he added.

Is this the same person who won TCR player of the month for 2 months straight this season?
