The record is 5. DM is already a joint holder, tied with Ted Bickerstaff, manager of Pratt & Sons FC 1893/4 season.

That record has stood for far too long, DM is capable of getting into double figures to ensure it is a record which is not taken away from him.

See Fleetwood have sacked their manager. They'll be winning for their new manager next Saturday then. That's what usually happens.

Hopefully they will do us a favour and come in for DM.

Club's too bloody soft, been too soft all season . Whole stadium should have been on their feet at half time giving them what for . DM had a bit of a go on the radio but no where near enough . the overwhelming message should have been to actually threaten some players with the sack with a first half performance like that.
I watched Sheff United v Leeds on telly earlier this season Sheffield won 2 -1 I remember after the game Chris Wilder was furious, in his interview he said certain players let themslves down and took their foot off the gas . I remember him when he took over Wobblers they was down and out he came in and said some players need to be totally ashamed to pick up any wages and some would never pull on a shirt again . Blokes a winner , that's why.
Thats whats lacking and it so apparent on the pitch , going through the motions , no intesity no hopful runs , no hard tackling , no putting their bloody bodys on the line

There was a story about Ron Atkinson when he was at Villa, came in a half time 2 nil down, apparently he said .

"You hear that booin , WELL I FUCKING STARTED IT"

To answer the question..
Yes, KR was in charge in the Championship when we lost 5 in a row, so this is our joint-worst league defeat record.
One more defeat and it will be an all time record for defeats.

Robinson lost 6 in a row, from the end of August to the end of September 2015.
4 league games 0-2, 0-2, 1-2, 1-2, the 0-6 thrashing by Southampton in the League Cup, followed by the 1-3 league defeat against Derby at home.

One more defeat and it will be our all time record for league defeats in a row (5), and it will equal Robinson's all time record for defeats in a row (6), I believe.

has a dons manager ever had this shit a squad he didnt assemble himself?

Wilson inherited Murdoch's already relegation-bound squad, when they were already 2nd bottom of the league.
His first 5 games with his inherited squad though, were far better than DM's, at P5 W2 D1 L2 F8 A8 GD 0.
We stayed up on goal difference, on the last day of the season.

I wonder what the record for successive matches lost for a new manager is? Anyone know?

As per the other "Worst ever start by any MK Dons manager in our history" thread, our record for successive matches lost by a new MK Dons manager, is now held by DM with 5 successive matches lost.
No other new MK Dons manager, no matter how bad they and/or the squad were, lost their first four games, let alone their first five.

In recent league history, the record for successive league matches lost by a new manager is probably held by Mick McCarthy at Sunderland, with 11 successive league matches lost after taking charge in March 2003 while being relegated from the Premiership, until their first league win in the Championship three games into the following season.
