He won’t sack DM.

We will get relegated

DM will be our manager at the start of the L2 campaign

We will all moan.

HOWEVER we will all still turn up.

It’s shit but really isn’t the end of the world

This.

There really is no point appointing an inexperienced manager and expecting instant results. He will be given time.

I agree. Given that we were desperate for instant results, I don’t understand why we did it.

Were we desperate for instant results? Most people claimed they were desperate for a) a change in footballing style and b) better connection between the club and fans. The Lewie fall out was also relevant.

He won't sack him, and that's probably fair enough.

But if DM really cares about this club, he'll hold his hands up, acknowledge that he is out of his depth and its not working, and resign.

How does anyone go from being an inexperienced manager to an experienced one? Everyone has to start somewhere. Dan will get better as he learns the job.

Quite simply - most people don't ever make that transition because they aren't good enough.

After five straight losses, I am.of the view that DM is just not cut out for it, so how low do we have to drop for him to get enough experience? The ends do not justify the means, and we don't 'owe' him anything. You get experience on merit. He comes across as a nice guy, it was a bold and creative move, but it isn't working. So be it, no-one is to blame as such - but he needs to step down and go back to coaching kids.

If he stays and wins the next five, I will change my mind as is my privilege as a fan on a forum! But I really can't see it turning around. I wish I could.

Of course we were. We had entered the relegation zone.
Little in the new manager’s CV suggested he was even a manager, let alone able to turn results around. He has a very steep learning curve, so we have added that to our problems.

Inexperienced managers already have experience of coaching, assisting, or at least playing with adults in professional teams. DM has none of that. It’s like asking my biology teacher to give me a vasectomy.

Yes I remember you from that documentary on Channel 5. Can I have your autograph please?
