Winkelman: Dan M has formulated a brilliant new tactical plan to ensure final victory in the field
Fan: Ah. Would this brilliant plan involve us passing the ball very slowly towards the opposition and then flapping in final third?
Dan M: How could you possibly know that? It's classified information!
Fan: It's the same plan that we used last time and the seventeen times before that.
Winkelman: Exactly! And that is what is so brilliant about it! It will catch the watchful opposition totally off guard! Doing precisely what we've done eighteen times before and all season is exactly the last thing they'll expect us to do this time! There is, however, one small problem.
Fan: That we normally always concede in the first ten minutes, struggle to score and then end up losing.
Winkelman: That's right. And I'm a bit worried this may be depressing the suppoters a tad.

Are you sure you mean PLAN not PAN? Cos that's where we seem to be going. Of course, that old saying about 'Dan, Dan the lavatory man' should have prepared us.....
