I just wonder if our form is down to his ethos from running younger age groups - keep the ball, pass from the back, 6 passes out of your own half etc...

I have seen first hand that the Dons youth teams (U12 - 14 I have first hand knowledge) are more focused on play and style and the end result is not the most important factor its the key principles of how they want them to play

Just wonder if that ethos is then hard to turn into you MUST win - MUST NOT make mistakes and go get 3 points or else ?

Just a thought ???

Very much so. Although it comes from within, the best don’t need anyone to say ‘or else’.

Getting stuck into the mental battle, playing close to the edge, dragging teammates along with them, getting in where it hurts, doing what it takes, that kind of thing. Someone who has experience of being like that and practiced it from a very young age can beat technically better players who haven’t.

You got me. That’s where my argument crumbles to dust.

Actually, I don’t mind that sometimes if we are being pressed hard. It is sometimes the only option for a player with everything immediately in front of him blocked off.

Yes, but if you compare just the 9th and 10th games of any MK Dons managers, DM's got to be one of the best we've ever had.
