In his latest interview, DM said we are creating "probably more chances for our strikers than any team in L1."

This is worrying. I have been happy to see how it goes with DM and give him time...but to make comments like that does not bode well does it ?

I thought that was a bit odd as well. I'm willing to write it off as interview talk but it's still a bit worrying.

Where is this man coming from? Oldham had over twice as many shots as we did in the last match. When you see somebody deluding himself like this you really begin to worry!

It's too easy to focus the blame for our goal drought on individual strikers. It's a cop out. These strikers are OK (not great but OK for League One) but need to hunt in pairs and get some decent service. But that wasn't the Neilson way and it appears not to be the DM way either, more's the pity. 4-4-2!!

We struggle enough in midfield. Taking one out of there won't help.

We have the second worst goal scoring record in the division. Playing with one striker CERTAINLY hasn't helped that.

Leicester won the Premiership with a 4-4-2. Burnley are massively over performing with a 4-4-2. Eibar, a tiny club with gates of around 5,000 and a team of journeymen and free transfers, have a very real chance of getting into the Champions League by finishing in the top four in Spain with a 4-4-2.

we have two great young wingers available and we barely use them. We have a squad full of forwards and only use one centrally at a time. Crazy!

4-4-2.

Doesn't it niggle you a bit though, even a tiny bit, that such a statement is plain wrong ? Indicates something of his judgment ? I can take cliché phrases like "oh, we are putting in as much effort as we can, and hopefully our luck will change"...but to say we are creating as many chances, if not more, than clubs at the top of L1 is frankly laughable, and does not do much for credibility does it ?

Nope, as long as we dominate possession, who cares about results or reality... ;)
