I know others have said it in recent weeks, but I am also coming round to the idea that getting relegated may be the very thing to kick-start the club again.

But I will be gutted to miss out on playing Luton (and Wycombe)

I know, been looking forward to Luton away for a while and thought it would finally happen next season with them promoted.

Looking at the table, 8 teams have conceded more goals than us but only 2 have scored less. Surely that means that our problem is that we don’t score enough. That season with 101 league goals seems a long long time ago.

If we get relegated there will be a huge expectation on us bouncing straight back...

Hyperbole has it's place. But not here. 60 years ago this month, Man U lost the cream of it's playing staff (plus some backroom staff) at Munich. That was a disaster. A relegation to L2 would be unfortunate. But that's all.
