When you are in the position we are in you have to appoint someone who can have an immediate impact. It isn't August and a clean slate in league standing. We are in a perilous position and needed an immediate lift over half way through.

Sorry it has been long enough now to ask questions. Nothing against the bloke and sure he could do better given a whole season and financial backing. I'm sure his hands are tied and it feels like a poisoned chalice. But I agree with the other poster who said we needed someone with experience if we want to stay in this league. Were the board too cost-effective and not ambitious enough? (Again)

Hope I am proved wrong.

I don’t care. We’re watching proper football again.

And yes, I do genuinely mean that.

Saw enough this last three games to believe that we’ll beat enough teams in the run in. The football’s turned already. The results will come soon enough.

Sorry mate but you’re having a fucking laugh.

He isn’t gonna come away from this season without any blame but 95% of this is on that coward Neilson. He made this team and has given this team to Micciche to deal with.

You can say all you want how we should’ve had an experienced manager at the helm! Like who? Grayson didn’t want it. And even if he did who is to say he’d have got the best out of of the shit we have? For all you know we could’ve lost 5-0 last week and 4-1 this week. Other than him who else? Phil Brown, a manager not good for Southend? Other than him who?

This appointment isn’t for this season it’s for the next few years. Baffled people can’t see that.

If we stay up (which I doubt we will) by one point then we go again and it’ll be an ambitious appointment for the next few years going forward. If we go down he has a lot to answer to but no more than Neilson. And like before we go again.

Can we pack the fucking management questions in for a bit and look at the shithouse players for once please?

Throwing it away with minutes to go, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Chose not to go today, glad I didn't, clubs a mess from top to bottom, no ambition, showed me that not signing Grigg after promotion, Winkelman is out of his depth, desperately needs investment.
On the plus side, Grimsby, Morecombe, Exeter and Accrington Stanley (if they don't go up) are four of the nine grounds I need for the current 92!

Are you happy to keep losing, even if you think the football is better??

Matthew went, I wouldn't have enjoyed the end! Bottom line is results, we're not getting any, look what Chris Powell has done to Southend!
