Do many / any of you chaps go to the New Wetherspoons in Bletchley pre-match? Thinking of trying this one instead of the city centre one. Does it get away supporters in it? Can you get cabs relatively easily from there to the ground?
any sensible responses welcomed.
Cheers

Is that the Captain Ridley's Shooting Party?

If so my colleague the Coventry fan was in there before the game when one of their numpties let off one of those blue smoke bombs - which set the fire alarms off - which meant an evacuation and no more beer!

Not been in there before a game yet but was in there Sunday night and some old fella died at his table. Everyone evacuated.

It has been more than a decade since I left MK area but that sounds par for the course.

So it's been open a month and it's had to be evacuated twice.... :?

In answer to the original question, for AFC it was deemed a home pub, so I can only assume people go there to drink before games. Seems a bit too far for me and on occaisons getting a cab from Bletchley is a pain.

A few seasons a go I experimented with the Bull & Butcher pre-game, but the distance to walk put me off. That and away fans.

I keep my pre-match drinking venue quiet now. :D

It was also seemed a home pub for Coventry game too and advertised as such by Cov police. But it didn't stop Cov fans getting in and letting off a flare.
