If today is anything to go by, they'll be a few heart attacks before the season is done. We've reverted back to our keeper being incapable of kicking it long and instead passing out to a midfielder who is surrounded by 3 players.

I'm all for passing it short but only when the pass does not put us in danger! Time and time again we were our own worst enemy.

Certainly agree with mixing it up and not making it easy for the opponents, when Robbo was here it was so easy for the opposition to play against us as they new before we kicked off how we would play. So easy to play against that type of play at this level, just press us high up the pitch and collect your three points at the end.

It's not the MK way.

I thought the short passing worked pretty well, considering the team are adapting to it. Wootton and Ward both did fine, as did Gilbey dropping back to the edge of the box. Certainly better than playing long to Agard, losing the ball, and then inviting pressure straight back on ourselves.

Feel free to shoot me down but weren't we all complaining about sending it long now under RN? Now we're saying we want to send it long?

I just want us to score, I don’t care how we achieve it.

At some stage, someone might have the brain wave of playing it both short and long at different stages in the game. Football shouldn't be played a formula, particularly if the answer ends up being minus 1.

This

I was watching an under nines match this morning, they were capable of doing it, a very good under 9 team I admit, but they have been coached brilliantly in short and long play.

An extremely entertaining game too

Playing it short is fine....

As long as you have players that can stick it in the net.

No shots in the first half, it was dire
