When Robbie was given the tin tack (*ahem* sorry, I mean left by mutual consent), no one at the club had the bottle to tell him to his face. That is until Scott voluteered to tell him to sling his hook. So this deal is pay back for that.

Perhaps it is to make sure John Hill has some interesting and challenging work for the rest of this season to keep him at the Club.

What’s strange for me is the fact that we’re entering an uncertain but brave new world under Dan Micciche with youth and energy being the watchword for new arrivals and I’m struggling to see how a “lovely bloke” who turns 30 this month and who didn't offer anything special in the previous six months with us is now deemed worthy of us making a big commitment in terms of his re-hab and subsequent contract (presumably two years minimum, I’d guess?).

All very odd to me... I’d hoped we’d be looking for better (and cheaper) in the Summer.

He'll be useful in League 2.

What I don't understand about John Hill was that he used to get the players to use stretch bands in the warm up, but when a few other clubs did it, he stopped. I can't say that we have been the fittest team in the league either.

He was the pre-match interview on saturday in club red.

Sounds like hes doing better than expected. Still not quite there but recovering a lot better than planned.

I was there. He is smaller than I thought.
