Great signing in my opinion. Has a lot of experience and will probably go straight into the starting 11 for walsall. |

Paul Downing is one of the first names on the Blackburn team sheet, yet he was hated here. Just because a player doesn't perform well for a particular club, doesn't mean they are a bad player. Ward has the experience that we need and the height to pose a threat at corners. |

I had a twitter discussion with a Blackburn fan who said Downing had been superb - assured on the ball and made very little mistakes - I do think sometimes different managers can give different players the added confidence that s needed !! |
