micciche and mitchell* both out of work.

*well, seemingly - no one seems to know what happened at spurs.

Is this a realistic option?

What about Richie Barker on a deal until the end of the season as caretaker?? Again I can’t see anyone coming in on a permanent contract

I’d say that’s a good call. What’s he currently doing?

Nice guy but he failed his audition last time. You don't like change do you dons50? How about the return of Karl Robinson?

Why would he come back?

Because this was always more than just a job to him.

Would you go back and work for someone who had sacked you before the end of your fixed term contract?

Probably not :)

Goalkeepers never make good managers. And it’s clearly not his think. I can’t remember where but I’m sure someone asked him and posted on the old RCR years ago if he ever wanted to be a manager and he scoffed and said no

Oh I never heard of that one. Well sometimes people say they wouldn't be interested until someone actually from. The club approaches them about it. But you might be right. Mind you he would make a good and loyal number 2. Also might take it as caretaker till the end of the season.

I think there is a high chance it could be Rubio with Lewington as player/assistant until the end of season.

Please no. We need an experienced League 1 manager to steady the ship. Happy for either or of those two to have an assistant role.
My vote would be for Simon Grayson. Yorkshire chappie.

Mitchell and Micciche were talked about a lot last time, and the general consensus is that we think they'd be great, but we weren't sure how realistic it was. Probably the same now. Similarly, I'd love Robbo back, but for his sake I don't think it's the right time.

I still maintain Alan Smith is going to be our manager one day.

And if we want Lewington back, surely Mark Cooper's not the way to go?

Paul Mitchell in for the rest of the season, supported by Lewie and believe it or not Izale, he's back at the club because he loves it (and needs work of course), Don't blow the budget on getting someone new in until we know where we're going to be.

I don't make grandiose sweeping statements normally but if Mark Cooper or Gary Megson are appointed I'll never set foot back in SMK until they're gone!
