I honestly can't put my finger on a bad signing tis has made so far. Early business too. As for this one, he's young and all the attributes you would want in a tenacious midfielder. Positive early start getting me really excited for the new season.

Hmmm.....you can’t, surely Harley must have crossed your mind.

Harley isn’t a bad player. But he’s been a bad signing.

Then why was he given another contract?

OK let me put it like this as I misworded. I can't put my finger on one of those typical signings we've made in the past where you look at it and it spells trouble. Lots of laughter from oppo fans and a general sense of a dodgy signing. No player tis has signed on arrival has been met with anything other than praise, bitterness or a bit of nothing in the case of lawson. Many a player we've signed in previous regimes have come with scepticism and warning signs. Yes 2 haven't worked out but the general sense is we're fishing in the right waters.

I remember watching him in one of Exeter's play-off semi final games last season and thought he was one of the better players on the pitch (then again, so was Harley in that game  ).

Don't think he had the greatest of seasons this season, but prior to this year I think he was very highly rated by Exeter fans up there with the likes of Pym, Stockley, JMT etc.

We really are becoming Exeter 2.0 aren't we?

Anyway, good luck to him - as Alby said this is the most obvious signing in a long time!

Because his name sells too much merchandise and jerseys in the club shop

Plenty of League 2 experience, but how will he cope with League 1?
