Absolutely! :D

Grieg's 'Peer Gynt' (or should that be Ibsen's?) gives us 'In The Hall of the Mountain King' and 'Morning' - both of which I'm sure everyone would recognise even if they don't know what they're called. Both fantastic pieces of music.

There are so many pieces of classical music that I recognise and love but I just don't know the name of.

The ones I know of:
Jupiter by Holst
In The Hall of The Mountain King (as previously mentioned)
Liberty Bell (if that counts!)
Concierto de Aranjuez (ideally the Brassed Off version)

I've always been a big fan of La Mer by Claude Debussy - a wonderfully lyrical piece of music, I discovered this in my late teens and have been regularly listening to it ever since

Dance of the Knights from Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet. It's one that everyone will definitely know

Some great recent choices. :D

Jupiter (by Holst) was in my list, and a good few of the others came very close. In fact, Dance of the Knights was my original pick for Prokofiev, but, maybe because of the time of year, and its use in so many Christmas films, I opted for Troika from Lieutenant Kije instead.

And Danse Macabre has been an Earworm for me in the last few days, so I'm sure if I was doing the list today it would have made it!

Another couple that would have made a longer list were a couple of Marches - Verdi's Triumphal March (from Aida), and Radetzky March by Strauss. Another two that I'm sure almost everyone will have heard, even if they don't recognise the names.

I love Toccata and Fugue in d minor. Loved it ever since I saw Rollerball back in the mid 70's. In fact I bought the soundtrack because of that. Which makes that album the first one I ever bought now that I come to think about it.

Pretty much the two comments about re Mozart. Everything I've heard of his I've liked.
I even named my first cat after him - no sh*t.

You called your cat No Shit. I wouldn't like to be calling him from the front door.
