More great videos being added - many thanks again.

Next up from me as it's a new day, is Je danse le Mia by IAM.
#1 in France in 1994.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ceNf9qJjgc

Another innovative French music video from back then directed by Michel Gondry, which zooms in & out in time to the sampled classic beat of George Benson's Give Me the Night.
Which was itself written & composed by the late great Rod Temperton - the invisible man from Cleethorpes who wrote so many huge hits of the 70s & 80s, including Boogie Nights, Rock With You, Thriller & many more.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Temperton

6 more Michel Gondry favourites coming up from me, over the next 6 days or so... :D

It's Pete's train set and you should all feel honoured to be granted the privilege of paying to watch him play with it.

Yeah, that's a classic. It reminds me of the Scarfolk Council comedy blog (now only rarely updated):

Keeping the theme going No Surprises was released 25 years ago yesterday

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5CVsCnxyXg

Apparently influences for the video were taken from "2001: A Space Odyssey, underwater escape acts and the television series UFO" (I used to love UFO when I was growing up!)

Happy (if that's the appropriate word) birthday to No Surprises!

Yeah that's brilliant.

For someone that hates Radiohead, there's a fair few tracks of theirs that I love. I'm conflicted.

Fatboy Slim - Weapon Of Choice

Yet another one in the Spike Jonze column. This time featuring an outstanding performance from Christopher Walken. I vaguely remember reading at the time that he, Walken, wanted to document his fantastic dancing before he was too old to do it, and boy oh boy does he do it here.

That Marilyn Manson thing is pretty good. Never seen that before. Pity it's set against such appalling audio.

The director is obviously a fan of the film "Brazil".

He's a funny guy old Brian, and not in an amusing way, but that is a really great watch. Especially like the folk on stilts.

Some early Electro Swing in Lucas with the Lid Off by Lucas (1994)

Shot in one long continuous single take, while Lucas runs around off-screen between the different scenes.
No edits, cuts, or post production at all.

A Grammy Award-nominated video, and another memorable favourite by Michel Gondry.
