Enjoyed the first semi-final on Tuesday evening (available on iPlayer now) - Some interesting tunes...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m ... emifinal-1Norway's entry was the standout for me:
Give That Wolf A Banana by Subwoolfer
"I like the scent of every meal on your breath
That hunger in you, I‘m in danger now, I guess
Lets go to grandma‘s, you say grandma taste the best
Oh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf (I want your grandma yum yum)..."https://eurovision.tv/participant/subwoolfer-22https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_AvUlCQ_CcLatvia -
Eat Your Salad by Citi Zēni - didn't make it through to the final on Saturday though
"Bend over, then jiggle that peach (Ayy)
You recyclin‘ while I‘m loving those cheeks (That‘s sweet)
I‘m a beast instead of a killer, forget the hot dogs (What)
‘Cause my sausage is bigger
Three, two, one, all the girls go eco
If you want your man‘s tongue longer than a gecko‘s
Oh, when you eat your veggies
Baby, think of me..."https://eurovision.tv/participant/citi-zeni-22https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbDj9mBI4g0Ukraine made it through to the final with Stefania by Kalush Orchestra, and they are now the favourite to win it for obvious, if not musical reasons.

https://eurovision.tv/participant/sam-ryder-22https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udsMTb2NIakLooking forward to the second semi-final tonight live on BBC3 with Scott Mills & Rylan Clark hosting again from 8pm, for a second helping of preliminary fun & horrors before the main event on BBC1 with Graham Norton on Saturday night.
It's an annual family gathering chez SG19, with us all scoring the performances - we correctly predicted 7 out of the 10 songs to make it through to the final from semi-final 1.
Don't take it too seriously though, especially the voting - just enjoy it, even the Moldovan folk punk entry
