As you can imagine Elton John is not necessarily automatically going to be 'up there' in my pantheon of rock heroes. BUT...
Despite the fact that the actuality and the fictitious (actually 'imagined by Elton when off his head' would be a better phrase - if you see the film you'll know what I mean) are intermingled I found this an enjoyable and, dare I say, rather touching film.

Absolutely love Elton John. His legacy and music has always inspired and fascinated me. One of the only, if not the only people who has made me cry through one of his songs, Someone Saved my Life Tonight.

Looking forward to the film.

Does it have any music by Elton John in it? Because that would be a massive problem for me.

I will say one thing however. If my fast approaching 60yr old self were to tell my Smiths obsessed 20yr old self that old Sir Elton would be an inclusive, right on kinda guy and that Morrissey would be a right wing, Tommy Robinson/Farage supporting fuckwit, I'd have told my fast approaching 60yr old self to fuck right off.

And Tiny Dancer is a good song.

When I was 12 - 14 I loved Elton John. Absolutely LOVED him. I still like all his old stuff.
