You beat me to it with this thread.
Was listening to 'Last Word' on Radio 4 :roll: on way home from work this eve and there it was.
The guy was only 63.
That song is one of the greats. They tracked down an orchestral version of it and by crikey the harmonies in it.....needless to say I like the original played as fast as poss.
And the sentiment underlying it? Well that continues to resonate after all these years. Oh yes precious it does.
Let's not be sad though. Put on some Buzzcocks - plenty on youtube - and celebrate wot he dun. I F- am. :ugeek:
