Coming up in the next couple of months - Numan at the Roadmender, David Baddiel at the Derngate, Idles at the Craufurd, Mark Steel at the stables, the wedding present at the Craufurd and the magic numbers at Esquires.

And I saw Numan on Monday in Preston - dead good he is - my tip for the top.

Just found out the Skids are touring. I didn't realise they were still alive!

Shall try and get to see them for nostalgia's sake.

The David Bowie Memorial Statue Unveiling Event at Friars Sunday night (I could have thought of a better name!)

Great night, John Otway, Howard Jones and Marillion - £32 well spent. Fantastic sets by all, culminating in a great rendition of 'Heroes' by all involved.

Shame the statue has been defaced less than 48 hours later though...

Ps...Love the way Marillion call it the 'Friars Bowie Thing'

Stranglers last night - Cambridge Corn Exchange. Good fun. Loud and lively. Not stupidly drunk this year, which helps.

Mark Thomas the other week at the Stables - very funny, very thought provoking as ever.

Richard Herring last night at the Stables - beautifully childish take on turning 50 - laughed my socks off all night.

Next up - Idles at The Craufurd - tonight.

Mad dash from a gloomy S:MK to a packed Ally Pally yesterday evening

What a fantastic gig, utterly wonderful set from the Vaccines to a euphoric crowd

Frustrating afternoon, amazing evening

:( :D
