First time I'm personally watching it in action and it's incredible shithousing. As a neutral I'm finding it hilarious.

It's a funny game. I don't even think it was a penalty! He's had a slight touch on his shoulder and he's thrown himself to the floor. How does that take his legs out? I'd be disappointed if that was given against my team. Overall I think VAR will be positive for the game because everyone wants the big decisions to be fair.

Listening on 5 Live - I would be particularly vexed if I was a Baggies fan

Another sign of the game drifting inevitably away from the stadium and into the studio

And just announced only 4 minutes time added on - makes the whole thing even more bizarre...

That was a crazy game (watched it on BT). VAR got the right decisions (well, the pen was borderline - there was contact but also a dying swan act). But it took far too long and the fans in the stadium (unlike those like me on my sofa) were not kept informed of what was happening.

Use it but speed it up and give the fans updates on the big screens, like in cricket.

It just made wish VAR would be binned, I really don't care that every decision isn't right the game has survived well over 100 years without the need to get every decision right why do we need to now?

It got the decisions right. That will do for me.

Don't like it. Consider the situation, Rovers attacking, shot hits underside of crossbar and bounces down, Rovers appeal for a goal, Town break upfield and are clear for goal. Does the ref stop play and check the VAR and if correct awards goal but if no goal how does he restart the game with Town about to score.
Also we will need rugby style timekeeping otherwise we will be into vast amounts of added time and the fans will be completely in the dark. I see too many rugby games where the ref comstantly refers to the TMO, it just breaks up the continuity of the game.
All media led for the armchair fans who see the replays, those of us who go to the games accept the decisions right ot wrong and they even out over a season.
