Posting here because with any luck it won't matter to us at all, but the National League season finished yesterday and the play off line up is complete... with a twist.

Gateshead have been barred from competing in the Play Offs because of an EFL rule requiring a guaranteed 10 year security of tenure over their stadium. https://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/na ... club-81474

Meaning that, one of the following will be in the EFL next season:

Quarter Final:
Wednesday 24th April - Altrincham v Halifax

Semi Final:
Saturday 27th April - Barnet v Solihull Moors
Sunday 28th April - Bromley v QF Winner

Final:
Sunday May 5th: SF1 v SF2

Or not... now it's Altrincham who get the bye because they finished higher in the league and Halifax have been moved to the original Gateshead position in the Quarter Finals, with Bromley v Altrincham the new, confirmed semi final.

What a barmy situation.

Very poor from Gateshead council.

Bromley or Solihull Moors it is then! The main outcome I would like looking at that is promotion to league 1.

I watched Brackley Town v Chorley in the National League North semi final, Brackley won 1 - 0 with their left back hammering in the winning goal into the roof of the net on 76 minutes.

They now face Boston Utd in the final next weekend, Boston incidentally, beat the mighty fallen giants Scunthorpe on penalties in the other semi, after a goalless draw.

Yep, Scunthorpe in the National League North, how quick it can all go wrong

69 Labour and 17 Lib Dems. Not much sympathy for the working man's sport there.

Perhaps if it were a lettuce in charge things would've been different.

Prehaps if all the fans were in a union Labour would have been interested.

Was tempted to go to the final as it’s at Wembley and I have nothing else going on on Sunday.

£40 adult tickets… no ta, not for a game I’m a neutral at.

But that’s a sort of barometer for if we break the curse and manage to get past Crawley.
