Anyone going/been?
Junior Ramones have gone tonight (in costume) and we're all going termorrer for the evening session (semis/final).
Always very jolly/beery.
Last year there was a bloke next to us almost paralytic telling his mate that he was due at Aylesbury Crown Court the next morning.
I kid you not.
I often wonder if he made it.

I believe you. The big clue was 'Darts'.

Just got home, and I'm going again tomorrow night for the semis and the final. Very good night - Bunting played particularly well.

Decided to get a table in row A this time, right on the far side away from all the chaos, and where it's easier to get in and out for a beer or a piss. Worked very well and made for a far more enjoyable evening. I've got the same table tomorrow night. :D

Very early finish tonight as the two semis were so one-sided.

Glad to see Bunting win though, he's been around for a long time and he's been in great form the last few months or so. Some of his big checkouts over the weekend have been absolutely superb.

Agree, good to see Bunting win a title. He always seems a good guy, clearly talented and capable of beating anyone on his day. Seems to be a player on the rise at the moment, a bit like Clayton a few years ago

Setting off for Minehead in the next couple of hours for the UK Open.

All eyes on Gary Anderson as the form player this weekend.....

Sounds great, have fun!

I'm keeping an eye out for Gian van Veen as the dark horse. Narrowly lost to Littler in the World Youth final in November, but has consistently been getting some good results since.

Old Heavy Metal Searle has been in great form lately, too. But that's the great thing about the UK Open, it always throws up some surprises. One of the best tournaments of the year.

Anderson and Searle both seem to have started the year in good form. Faced each other in players championship finals a couple of times already. Of the 2 you would expect Anderson to take that onto the stage better than Searle because of all he has won in his career, but with the UK open there are lots of games in a back room that is more like the floor tournaments, so a great chance for some not so experienced on the big stage to go a long way in the competition.

The usual suspects will of course go in as favourites, but previous winners include Robert Thornton, Danny Noppert and Andrew Gilding, and previous runners up include Corey Cadby, Wes Newton, Colin Osbourne, Gary Mawson and Vincent van der Voort - all good players, but not players you expect to see in finals - while Taylor only made 6 finals from 14 appearances, and van Gerwen has only made 4 finals from 16 appearances, which shows how unpredictable the tournament is

Agreed. If you can average mid-90s consistently, game after game without having a duff one, then you're right in the mix. No coincidence that Wadey has won it three times!

Indeed. Wade is the expert at mopping up when somebody else has knocked out those that usually average 105+
