Never a penalty, utterly ridiculous, but England are way to slow in moving the ball and the tempo is like walking football, then you have Southgate shoe horning an average full back into midfield, when there are decent proper midfielders on the bench

The pitch is absolutely dire

I think tonight showed pretty much everything wrong with this current England team under Southgate. Yes the team has come along way and we were missing a few players. There's been two major problems under Southgate, not being able to truly take advantage when on top and not being able to change a game. First half was the former, second half was the katter. The players are reasonably disciplined (except TAA who seemed lost and lazy yet again) but lacked any real drive, swagger or belief to take it to a pretty poor team..

When level or in the lead the team are wear shackles, when the team are behind the tempo barely changes. Southgate did wonders between 2018-2021, but with this squad and their experience they should be way ahead of where they are.

Our three best players are Stones, Bellingham and Kane. None of these three started last night. We were very good against Italy. I wouldn’t worry too much at this stage.

We'd also already won the group. It was a nothing game that winning 5-0 or losing 5-0 would have meant absolutely nothing.

I don't think Gilbey would have been out of place in that game.
