Those are the kind of things that I'd expect a brainwashed person to say.

I bet a lot of people are happy to sell their fringe players to Saudi to get them off the books and help with FFP as well. Chelsea being the main beneficiary so far. I expect a few more clubs will appreciate their money too

If Saudi Arabia didn't exist I'd have put £50 on Chelsea getting relegated next season

Honestly not bothered about or have any interest and I think most UK based fans are the same.

Yes there's a lot of money over there, but the fact is the overall standard of those leagues is poor - I'd guess mostly L2 with one or two clubs possibly mid-table L1 level.

Yes there have been a dozen or so elite signings but it's going to take a lot more than that to raise the overall quality. It's going to take years. Players will retire before then - Ronaldo, Benzema etc.

It's not just about the quality - there's so many things to consider - atmosphere, history, reputation, how accessible the league is to international viewers (there aren't any broadcast deals to show those games in the UK apart from one off games).

Give it a decade and maybe it'll be on par with say Ligue 1 but I wouldn't be confident.

One thing that sets MLS and Saudi apart, for me...

MLS is actually fun. You inow in the way that a night at the ice hockey, or how some people like women's football? I love MLS. In the past 15 years the League gets better each year, and the playoffs are really fun to watch.

Saudi will probably try and buy UEFA and get their way into European football in the next ten years or something.
