Hi. Getting back in touch as Oxford United now has a live planning application for our newly proposed stadium - as detailed here: https://oufcstadium.co.uk/oxford-uniteds-new-stadium-planning-application-validated/

There is now a short window of time for the public to respond local Council on the planning application, so if anyone would be happy to fill in a very short form over the next couple of weeks before the public consultation closes, that would be massively appreciated.

The link to submit your view on the planning application can be found here: https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk/Planning/Comment/24/00539/F

As I've previously posted, if we were to move to this new Triangle site, away fans would benefit from improved public transport routes (including a Train Station on the doorstep of the new ground), vastly better facilities for visitors, and a significantly improved atmosphere compared to our current, soulless Kassam stadium.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can spend a few minutes helping a fellow member of the football community from becoming homeless in two years.

Very exciting - the ground looks superb. And close to the railway is a bonus (is it on the new East-West rail link? If so that's brilliant for MK :) )

Yes, Oxford Parkway station is on the East West Rail link and will be served directly from Milton Keynes.

I've given comments in support of the development, good luck to them.

Good Luck. Sooner you detach yourself from Kassam, the better.

PoxFord should look in the mirror at how they treated the Headington Quarry fans:
“It was their club; Oxford had never raised a finger to help them. Why should it pinch their glory now?”
http://www.headington.org.uk/history/mi ... united.htm

Name changes, changes of colours, and relocation miles away from their 'spiritual home' too.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxford_Un ... ton_United

Now another unpopular relocation - 58 per cent of local residents against the move.

Where will Gosford All Blacks RFC be forced to relocate to?

What will be the effect on nearby Kidlington F.C. ?

Absolutely - detaching from both the ground (which has never felt like home) and the man himself (who has essentially hampered the club and any attempts to be run sustainably after selling us but keeping the stadium and surrounding land for himself).

I went to the old Manor Ground for my first ten years as a fan, and it's depressing to think that more than double that time has been spent at the Kassam. Just having a completed stadium will at least make the experience of going to games (as both home and away fans) better.

And to address another point made on here, we'll be maintaining and paying for the upkeep of the sports pitches and facilities for other community, youth and amateur sports clubs on fields near to the proposed development. They're currently in a very poor state as the Parish Council can't fund the upkeep understandably, and the local sports clubs are therefore very supportive of our move to the Triangle.

Despite being in the play-offs this season, there's no great optimism that we'll be going up this year. So we may well be seeing you again next season if you can get over the line with promotion. And in which case, hopefully it'll just be another couple of visits to the Kassam which you'll need to endure!

Thanks again in advance for any support with this - much appreciated if anyone is happy to do so.
