Cant believe chelsea have sacked him. They were in some great form to take into next season.

I know he's (surprisingly) left Chelsea, but is there a strong rumour about Man United?

To be honest, I'm not sure who I'd want as next manager if ETH leaves. It seems to be a poor market for available managers at the moment, similar to the #9 market when we needed one last season. The only top quality options were unattainable, and we were mostly left with gambling on an up and coming one (Hojlund).

The manager search feels similar. Only real elite managers are unrealistic options, so left with managers with good CV's but not on an upward trajectory (Mourinho, Conte, Tuchel, Pochettino, etc); or a number of up and coming ones who are on an upward trajectory but would be gambles as they've never managed big clubs or won major honours.

No stand out candidates really that I'd be confident would be successes, even with INEOS running things instead of the Glazers.

They haven't sacked him.

The latest “hot” manager a lot of clubs have looked at is Xavi Alonso, but I don’t think he wants to leave Leverkusen

Bizarre and I am not sure what direction Chelsea are going to go in now. Really built some momentum towards the end of the season, and you would probably fancy them to pinch top 4 next season, particularly with a potential Liverpool Rebuild and Spurs being Spurs. I am hearing Mckenna and De Zerbi's name being linked, along with Thomas Frank at Brentford. Really not sure they are an upgrade on Poch. Its almost as if they are deliberately wanting to take 1 step backward constantly in an attempt to go 2 steps forward.

Sorry, ill put my MK Dons cap back on ;)

When Ralph Rangnick went to United as a manager with the view of a consultancy role after I really thought we'd see Poch and Paul Mitchell end up there. Poch and Mitchell worked together at spurs, Mitchell and Ralph at RB Leipzig.

I actually think that would have been the perfect set up if Ratcliffe was in his role at the time

Is he?

Maybe he is, but I am not sure its a fair reflection at this stage.

Everyone fails at Spurs and that includes some world class managers. Mourinho failed. Conte failed. Ange is coming to realise that hes probably going to fail. Christ even Harry Kane is failing. Theres a video doing the rounds of all 3 managers coming to the same conclusion about Spurs, its an interesting watch
